Lets talk about the Justice league movie, we could talk about Batman v Superman all day, whats right with it, whats wrong with it, hypothesize on how it could have been amazing. But no, it's the movie we have, we cannot change it, so, what could they do in the next movie to explain the choices made or the direction of that movie.
There will be SPOILERS for Batman v Superman, we can't have this conversation without them(so don't read on if you haven't seen it).
At the end of BvS we see the dirt on top of superman's coffin begin to lift or float, most people have assumed this is signifying superman is healing/waking up/resurrecting. I'd prefer something a little different - What if the dirt lifting wasn't caused by superman's power but by a boom tube opening up nearby.
And a single Para-demon takes the coffin back to Apocalypse for Darkseid. the movie would continue as you'd expect otherwise, Batman and Wonder Woman gathering up the other Metahumans, butting heads with them as they go. But in the back ground something dark is going on.
When superman returns he's changed, manipulated and brain washed by Darkseid alive but a slave to Darkseids will. He leads a para-demon invasion of earth and the Justice League is there to try to stop them. But it isn't the Justice League who free superman from Darkseids thrall but Lois, Lois is the key (this kind of explains the Flash time-travel / dream scene in BvS) . Now that Superman is back in the fold the league have an easier time fighting back the Para-demon army. I'd leave it there, but a studio wanting a big boss fight could then have Darkseid himself step through a boom tube and decimate the Justice League, and it'd take teamwork to send him back.(it'd give the studio the boss fight but I think it would make the movie too long), a good story shouldn't need the boss fight, there'd still be plenty of action in there with an invasion and a Superman fight.
This type of story could also explain why we didn't get the Lex Luthor we wanted, if this was a long play from Darkseid Lex's apparent insanity could be him trying to fight back against Darkseids mental control. The speech at the party where Lex is lost mid thought and says that knowledge with out power is a paradox. He might have been upset at his knowledge of Darkseid and Apocalypse by not have the mental control(power) to use that information.
I know this is just me day dreaming but I like the idea that the next movie could repair or at the very least explain the choices and direction of Batman v Superman. feel free to comment and let me know what you think and if you have any ideas of your own.
